Previous Trips to F$U
Team A-Game traveled to Tallahassee in 2003 for our first gameday of
the season. We drove, but there are flights available to Tallahassee,
or to Jacksonville, which is about two hours east. The locals are some
of the friendliest fans in the ACC, although they know to turn up the
intensity at kickoff and make Doak Campbell Stadium an impressive
spectacle on gameday. Being in the South, Tallahassee obviously has
plenty of places to stock up on tailgating supplies. There's more than
ample nightlife as well. Most of the parking lots near the stadium are
reserved. It's a decent walk from the lots at Leon County Civic Center.
Be aware of fire-ant hills on grassy areas. You don't want to step on
