Previous Trips to Wake Forest
Team A-Game traveled to Wake in 2001 and 2009. We parked for free on both cases in the lots surrounding Lawrence Joel Coliseum. Not too much of a home lot advantage for the Deacs, although in 2009 we partied with a great couple families of WF football players. Some of the best home-team fans we've ever hung out with, and some of their barbecue was outstanding. Also in 2009, we found a few neat bars downtown for Friday evening festivities. The biggest dagger about Winston-Salem is that it is a good hour or so west of the general Dook-UNC-N.C. State area, but it is still well within driving distance from College Park. Despite the smallish stadium (recently renovated and looks very nice), it's worth the trip. —PK
