MARYLAND AT WEST VIRGINIA

Page updated 9/13/06

Game Info
Maryland at West Virginia
Thursday, Sept. 14, 2006
7:45 p.m. (ESPN)
Mountaineer Field at Milan Puskar Stadium (60,000)
Morgantown, W.Va.
Series: Tied 21-21-2
Note: Cal replaces WVU on the schedule in 2008 and 2009. Sadly, this is our last trip to Morgantown until 2010.

Tickets ($35 each)
Order your tickets through the Maryland ticket office today by calling (800) IMA-TERP. Maryland will return any unsold tickets to West Virginia two or three weeks prior to gameday. If you need tickets in that window of time and if they're still available, try calling the WVU ticket office at (800) WVU-GAME and requesting seats in the visitor sections.

Directions to Tailgate Lot
From Balto/D.C., find your way to westbound Interstate 70. Follow I-70 to westbound I-68 (you want Interstate 68, not Route 68). Once in West Virginia, use Exit 1 (Route 119/University Ave./Downtown). Follow Route 119 North for several miles into the city. Watch for signs for Routes 19 and 7, and bear left following those signs. This road becomes Beechurst Avenue and eventually Monongahela Blvd. You should have train tracks and the river on your left. As you take Monongahela Blvd. up a large hill, you'll come to traffic light intersection with Route 705 Patteson Drive. Turn right at the light onto Route 705. Proceed a few hundred yards, and just prior to a traffic light intersection with University Avenue, you'll see a strip mall parking lot on your left. The strip mall has a Boston Beanery restaurant, Rite Aid and Radio Shack in it, among other stores. This is the parking lot for the A-Game/Friedgen's Legions Tailgate and all Maryland Gridiron Network members and Terp fans. Look for the Maryland State Flags flying high. Expect to pay $5 or $10 to park. Across Route 705 is a Kroger supermarket if you need to re-stock tailgating supplies.

Might not be a bad idea to check out marylandroads.com before you leave. Current construction projects are on this site. Enter Morgantown's ZIP code at weather.com for a weather update.

Previous Trips to WVU
Click here for pictures of Team A-Game's 2004 visit to Morgantown for the Terps/Mountaineers game. We attended our first game in 2000 and decided it was a must-trip every two years. Eer fans know how to tailgate, and it's a blast walking through the parking lots amidst a chorus of boos while singing the Maryland Victory Song. We're 1-2 all-time in Morgantown.
